Syracuse, N.Y. - Paschal Chukwu revealed Wednesday the root of his free throw evolution.
After starting the season 6-of-16, the Syracuse basketball center has drained 16-of-22 from the line.
"Coach Griff making me take 100 a day after practice," Chukwu said, referring to SU assistant Allen Griffin, who coaches the Orange big men.
All those shots have enabled Chukwu to find a certain peace and a certain rhythm at the line. In Wednesday night's 62-47 win over Eastern Michigan, Chukwu went 9-of-11 from the free throw line in a game when the Orange needed every point it could manufacture.
