The Syracuse defense gave back to the community with every sack this season, thanks to the Wegmans Sack Hunger campaign. Wegmans teamed with the Orange to donate to the United Way for every sack in 2022.
Syracuse finished 35th nationally in sacks this season, bringing the opposing quarterback down 30 times over the 12-game regular season. Caleb Okechukwu was the Orange's leader in the category with seven.
With that number, Wegmans donated $5,000 to the United Way of Central New York in a presentation last Friday at the DeWitt Wegmans on E.
