The Orange grabbed a season-high 11 steals in Syracuse's (13-10, 6-6), 67-62, loss to #6 Virginia (17-4, 9-2) in front of a roaring crowd of 19,272 inside the JMA Wireless Dome on Tuesday Night.
Judah Mintz (20 points) etched his sixth game of 20 or more points and Jesse Edwards poured in 14 points and seven rebounds before fouling out of the game.
HOW THE GAME WAS DECIDED
With four minutes left to go, Virginia shot four-of-four at the line along with a 3-pointer, to take a 64-58 lead. Mintz attempted to take control with four straight points, but the 'Hoos sealed the Orange defeat with a field-goal by Jayden Gardner and a free-throw from Armaan Franklin, 67-62.
