Woody Newton from Mt. Zion Prep and Brewster Academy (N.H.) product Kadary Richmond have signed National Letters of Intent (NLI) to enroll and play basketball for Syracuse next season, according to the University.
Newton, a 6-8, 190 forward, is a member of the Mt. Zion Prep team led by Coach Rodrick Harrison. The native of Baltimore is ranked 79th overall in the 2020 class by 247Sports.com. Newton's play helped the Warriors advance to the 2019 National Prep Championship during his junior season.
Richmond, a 6-5, 175 guard, is playing for Coach Jason Smith at Brewster Academy this season, the same school attended by current Syracuse performers Buddy Boeheim and Brendan Paul.
