SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Former BIG EAST Conference foes Syracuse and Georgetown will revisit the rivalry when the two meet Saturday, December 8, in the Carrier Dome.
This year's encounter will mark the fourth straight season the Orange and the Hoyas have played. Syracuse has a 50-43 advantage in the all-time series and won last year's pairing in Washington D.C., 86-79, in overtime. Georgetown is the sixth most-frequent opponent in Syracuse hoop history.
Former Georgetown great Patrick Ewing guided the Hoyas to a 15-15 overall record in his first season as head coach. His club returns senior center Jessie Govan, who led Georgetown in scoring (17.
