North Carolina State AD Debbie Yow, Alabama AD Bill Battle tell athletes how to spend their money

A handful of college administrators gather in New York City on Wednesday to discuss the cost-of-attendance stipends that athletes have begun receiving this year. Naturally, they said some incredibly stupid things.

North Carolina State athletic director Debbie Yow, and Alabama athletic director Bill Battle delivered out-of-touch, elitist and, racially-tinged remarks while discussing how college athletes fritter their money away on luxuries.

Yow, 65, complained about the fact that athletes, like many students on college campuses, have been spotted riding around on hoverboards. Battle, 74 bemoaned the proliferation of tattoos and specialized chrome hubcaps among athletes.
