No contest: No. 1 Connecticut crushes Syracuse women's basketball in NCAA Tournament

Storrs, Conn. -- Guard Kia Nurse turned in a historic performance with 29 points as top-ranked UConn devoured Syracuse 94-64 in a NCAA Tournament second-round game Monday night in Storrs, Conn.

Nurse set a program tournament record with nine three-pointers. She helped bury SU with eight of those in the first half.

Gabby Williams and Katie Lou Samuelsson chipped in with 23 apiece for UConn. Overall, the Huskies put on an offensive clinic, shooting 33-53 from the floor (62 percent) and 12-23 from three (52 percent). Of the team's 33 field goals, 30 came with an assist.
