This was what you call a “get-right” game.
Before returning to Central New York following their shellacking at the hands of No. 1 North Carolina over the weekend, the Syracuse Orange women’s lacrosse team (7-1, 4-1) stopped over in Washington DC on Tuesday to take out their frustrations on the Georgetown Hoyas, 15-10, in a game that wasn’t remotely that close.
The ladies came out with a vengeance, scoring early, often, and with authority against the completely overmatched Hoyas.
They started the game on a blistering 10-0 run in just 13 minutes, meaning the running-clock started less than a quarter into the game.
