No. 2 and undefeated Boston College scored with one second remaining to defeat No. 16/19 Syracuse, 13-12, in women's lacrosse action on Thursday.
"It was a hard-fought game," said Syracuse head coach Gary Gait. "It was the most energy we've had all year. Hopefully we can build on this effort for Sunday's game against Louisville and then into the ACC Tournament next week."
Boston College (17-0, 7-0) led by one at halftime and scored the first two goals of the second half to take a 10-7 lead. SU senior Riley Donahue took advantage of an Eagles' yellow card with her 141st career goal before redshirt sophomore Mary Rahal netted back-to-back goals to even the score at 10-10.
