With No. 1-overall seed Syracuse falling 85-80 to Ole Miss at the Carrier Dome on Saturday, only six of the top 16-seeded teams in the National Invitation Tournament still have a chance to advance to the quarterfinals.
Nine of the 16 were eliminated in the first round. Two of the remaining top seeds are guaranteed to make it to the quarterfinals: No. 1 Iowa faces No. 4 TCU in Region 4 on Sunday, and No. 1 Illinois State takes on No. 4 UCF in Region 3 on Monday.
