Syracuse, N.Y. -- Larry Csonka likes to take a little bit of credit for bringing Larry Little to the Miami Dolphins to help construct the greatest team in NFL history.
Csonka, a former Syracuse football running back, was friends with a Miami-area Buick dealer and met Little, a Miami native, at the Buick dealer a day before he was officially traded to the Dolphins in 1969.
"(Csonka) went back and told (general manager) Joe Thomas, 'Joe, I met this guy from Miami named Larry Little, but he played with the Chargers, and you ought to try to get him down here," " Little recalled in a telephone conversation this week.
