Syracuse, N.Y. -- Sports gambling website Bovada.com released its odds for winning the 2017-18 national title on Monday.
While Syracuse is certainly a longshot, the fact that the Orange still has odds is a major improvement from the weekend, when the team spent Selection Sunday right on the edge of the NCAA Tournament bubble and earned the very last at-large spot.
Syracuse was given 500-to-1 odds by Bovada. The only at-large qualifier with worse odds was St. Bonaventure at 1,000-to-1.
Syracuse's odds matched teams like Virginia Tech and Providence, as well as teams like Montana, Stephen F.
