Syracuse, N.Y. -- College lacrosse is picking up the pace.
According to collegecrosse.com, the NCAA rules committee has passed a 60 shot clock for men's lacrosse to use beginning in the upcoming 2019 season.
The shot clock would start after the ball crosses midfield, the story said. Any reset, whether it's a shot on goal or a loose ball push, will reset the clock back to 60 seconds.
Currently, officials can start a 30-second shot clock if they rule that a team is stalling. But teams can generally avoid a stalling call by firing shots over the net and getting in position to retain possession.
