Syracuse, N.Y. -- The Philadelphia 76ers defeated top NBA Draft pick DeAndre Ayton's Phoenix Suns on Thursday, with some help from former Syracuse forward Chris McCullough.
McCullough played 15 minutes in the Sixers' 88-86 win in Las Vegas. He scored one bucket in six attempts. That basket was a 3-point attempt. He went 1-for-2 from the free throw line.
McCullough, the 6-foot-9 forward, also grabbed four rebounds. He is looking for a 2018-19 basketball home after spending last season in the Washington Wizards organization. The Brooklyn Nets drafted him after one season at Syracuse, where he tore his ACL midway through his freshman year.
