Don McPherson '87, a College Football Hall of Fame inductee and long-time advocate for the prevention of gender-based violence, hasDon McPherson '87, a College Football Hall of Fame inductee and long-time advocate for the prevention of gender-based violence, has received the 2020 National Football Foundation (NFF) Outstanding Contribution to Amateur Football Award. At Syracuse, McPherson earned multiple player of the year awards and All-America honors after leading the 1987 Orange to an undefeated season.
The NFF award recognizes individuals who support the NFF's mission of promoting the power of amateur football to develop the qualities of leadership, sportsmanship, competitive zeal and academic excellence in America's young people.
