Syracuse, N.Y. — Despite operating in a profession where earning a single win as a head coach is a daunting challenge, Syracuse interim coach Mike Hopkins downplayed his milestone moment on Tuesday night with a metaphor about leaving crumbs in the back of Jim Boeheim's car.
"I just want to get these guys better," Hopkins said after a 78-51 win over Colgate. "It's never been about me. Our job in these next seven games is to give Coach Boeheim a better team than he gave us. (If we don't) it's not going to be good. You know, the father comes back and he says, 'What did you do?
