Syracuse, N.Y. — Michael Gbinije watched from the Nigeria basketball bench Tuesday night as his team lost to Lithuania in Olympic basketball pool play.
Gbinije never took off his warmup jacket, never warmed up with his team. Nigeria basketball reported Gbinije missed the game because of illness. He has reportedly been sick for a couple days.
