Former Syracuse star Michael Gbinije battled injuries last year as he attempted to work his way back into the NBA, and he will look to start proving himself once again during the NBA Summer League.
Gbinije was listed on the New York Knicks' Summer League roster when it was released last week. In addition to showcasing his skills for NBA teams, the Summer League would also provide Gbinije a chance to audition for high-level international clubs.
Gbinije was drafted in the second round (49th overall) in 2016 by the Detroit Pistons. He has spent much of his professional career fighting injuries.
