Syracuse, N.Y. -- Kris Joseph had watched Boeheim's Army from afar.
The former Syracuse basketball forward, who finished his college eligibility in 2012, had promised general manager Kevin Belbey he would one day sign on for the squad. In years past, off-season injuries kept him from committing. And too, he longed to spend time, after a season abroad, with his young daughter.
It was always something.
But after spending the bulk of the winter and spring in his native Canada, Joseph was ready this year. He was ready to immerse himself into the days of his college youth, when basketball, teammates and a camaraderie like nothing he's experienced since were the focal points of his life.
