Dr. Karen Jane Blumenthal and Howard Lev Winokur were married Aug. 6. Rabbi Ilene Harkavy Haigh officiated at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston.
The bride, 33, will continue to use her name professionally. She is a fellow in general medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and a candidate for a master’s degree in public health at Harvard. She graduated cum laude and received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
She is the daughter of Dr. Ellen Gravitz Blumenthal and Dr. David Blumenthal of Brookline, Mass. The bride’s father, an internist, is the president of the Commonwealth Fund, a philanthropy in New York that specializes in health care policy.
