Syracuse Orange distance star Justyn Knight continued his onslaught on the school record book again this weekend. Taking part in the Millrose Games on Saturday Knight broke his own Syracuse record in the 3000m when he ran 7:45.86. For the second week in a row Justyn took second place behind Shadrack Kipchirchir as he was unable to catch the US Army pro in the final lap at The Armory.
Knight’s time is the 9th fastest collegiate time in history and yet he still felt that he could have gone faster.
As Knight mentioned, he’s in position to post NCAA qualifiers in the Mile, 3k and 5k this season and then pick and choose which event(s) to enter at the Championships.
