Join the Syracuse sports Friday Vine-for-all

Thursday, Twitter announced that it was going to discontinue Vine, the video-sharing app it purchased four years ago for $30 million. The writing was on the wall for Vine as many users had already moved on to Snapchat, Instagram, and other social media tools. Still, we’ll remember it and the way it briefly became the ideal way to share quick-hit videos, especially good for sports highlights and jokes.

Can’t say I ever spent too much time on Vine other than when I would watch viral videos making the rounds. But as I perused it’s collection of Syracuse-related vines, I realized we’ll be losing plenty of gems.
