Syracuse, N.Y. - Jim Boeheim sat alone in the athletic director's box at the Carrier Dome, alternately watching the Syracuse-Boston College football game on a television set behind him and the Class B state championship game on the field in front of him.
Boeheim came to watch Joe Girard III, a 6-foot-2 guard, try to lead Glens Falls to its second state title in the last three years.
And Girard, Glens Falls' senior quarterback, put on a show.
Girard threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for two more as Glens Falls rallied from an early 14-0 deficit and roared past Batavia for a 55-32 victory.
