Syracuse, N.Y. - Notre Dame hauled in 21 offensive rebounds in Saturday's game against Syracuse in the Carrier Dome.
None was more important than the one Rex Pflueger grabbed and converted with two seconds left in the game. That rebound, coming off a T.J. Gibbs miss in transition, meant the Fighting Irish would leave Syracuse with a 51-49 win and a perfect ACC record.
"I just knew that going down with T.J., he had two guys trailing him and anything can happen," Pflueger said. "He's a great finisher but with two guys trying to block the crap out of it, it's going to come off somewhere.
