Syracuse, N.Y. -- Jim Boeheim learned this morning that Syracuse University is now in the market for a new athletic director.
The university announced that current AD Mark Coyle, who came to SU from Boise State just last June, will be leaving the university "for family reasons." In a statement, the school said Coyle will be "leaving the University for a position at Minnesota."
Minnesota's athletic department released a statement today that Coyle was a finalist for its athletic director position.
Boeheim said he had no inkling that Coyle planned to depart SU.
