Syracuse Orange men’s basketball coach Jim Boeheim has been “feuding” with the South and specifically, Greensboro, since 2011. He’s never lost (he even beat UNC-Greensboro on the basketball court) to the city necessarily, but in any case, it seems that the rivalry is about to come full circle.
Greenbsoro.com reports that Boeheim will speak at the 2019 Fred Barakat Banquet at Greensboro Coliseum in Spring 2019, a voluntary trip for the Orange coach to a city that’s actively (and with an unquenchable thirst) tried to make it a “thing” between the two parties for the better part of the last decade.
