Syracuse, N.Y. -- James Southerland, fresh from a couple weeks in Utah and Las Vegas playing in the NBA Summer League, was home in Queens Tuesday planning a workout with Brandon Triche.
The two former Syracuse basketball players and current Boeheim's Army team members will not need to travel far when the Army plays Thursday at 7 p.m. (ESPN2) in The Basketball Tournament's Super 16. The game against Team Fancy takes place at Long Island University-Brooklyn. And Southerland expects to see plenty of familiar faces.
"Amazing. It's perfect," Southerland said in a phone conversation. "Being in Brooklyn, we have a lot of Syracuse fans there.
