Jalen Carey, Howard Washington near return for Syracuse basketball

Syracuse, N.Y. -- After playing its first exhibition game without any of its three point guards, the Syracuse Orange might see one or two back in time for its next exhibition on Wednesday.

Syracuse guards Jalen Carey and Howard Washington are making progress toward returning from injuries, but their status for the Orange's exhibition game against Le Moyne on Wednesday remains uncertain.

Carey and Washington both missed Syracuse's exhibition game against College of Saint Rose last Thursday.

Carey suffered a severely sprained ankle in the Orange-White scrimmage on Oct. 16. Washington tore his ACL last January and is still recovering from surgery.
