Syracuse, N.Y. -- Griffin Cook likes to joke that his decision to play lacrosse at Syracuse University was made almost at birth.
He's stretching the truth, but not by much. And Saturday, he began to show what a natural fit he could be with the Orange.
Cook, a freshman attack out of Jamesville-DeWitt, scored twice for the white team in an intra-squad scrimmage in the Carrier Dome. The contest lasted just three quarters, with the white taking a 15-9 decision.
"It's a dream come true. I've looked forward to this my whole life,'' Cook said. "So it's just great to finally be here.
