Injury Ends Season For Williams

Syracuse freshman forward Benny Williams will miss the remainder of the season with a lower body injury.

Williams suffered the injury in the Monday night game at North Carolina. He is expected to make a full recovery.

He saw action in 29-of-30 games during his rookie campaign. Williams averaged 1.9 points and 1.4 rebounds per game.

Williams had six points and three rebounds in his initial colleigate outing, the Syracuse opener against Lafayette. One of his top performances of the campaign came on Feb. 26 against #7/6 Duke. Williams logged a season-high 30 minutes and posted 14 points and six rebounds.
