The Orange women's ice hockey team made history in 2019 earning the first NCAA Tournament invitation in program history and scoring National Association of Collegiate Director of Athletics [NACDA} Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup points for the first time ever. The Orange women's and men's basketball teams also advanced to the NCAA Tournament, which adds 100 Directors' Cup points to Syracuse's 2018-19 total. Through the fall and winter seasons, Syracuse has scored 308 points, which ranks 51st in the final winter standings.
On the ice, the Orange women won the College Hockey America tournament championship to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
