How Syracuse QB Tommy DeVito gained 'effortless power' to become elite deep passer

Syracuse, N.Y. -- With little more than a flick of the wrist, Syracuse football quarterback Tommy DeVito sent the football sailing from midfield inside the Carrier Dome on Saturday.

It arched over the North Carolina defense, barely staying inside the television camera's screen, before coming down on the goal-line as sophomore slot receiver Nykeim Johnson ran under it.

The touchdown tied the Orange's game against UNC with less than two minutes left in regulation, before two more scoring strikes from DeVito, a redshirt freshman, would lift SU to a 40-37 comeback victory in double overtime.

DeVito's throwing ability is perhaps as outstanding as the program has seen in its history.
