Syracuse, N.Y. -- When Mikel Jones was introduced to Lee Kpogba at the start of a Syracuse football official visit weekend in early November, the name rang a bell.
Jones remembered Kpogba from a camp. He remembered that he was a linebacker.
By the time the two flew back south together out of Hancock International Airport on Nov. 11, it was clear they had far more in common, including a joint future.
"We talked about what coaches we talked to, who recruited us and basically the relationship that we had with the coaches," Jones said.
"I was telling him like, 'Man, this might be the move,'" Kpogba said.
