Syracuse, N.Y. -- Old Dominion guard B.J. Stith was so bad in the first half that he apologized to his teammates. Then he came out and handed Syracuse its worst second-half performance this season.
Stith was scoreless in the first half as Syracuse built up a lead that reached 13 points. Over the final 20 minutes, he scored 18 points and helped the Monarchs blitz the Orange's 2-3 zone.
Syracuse was outscored by 16 points in the second half, its worst effort of the year, blowing a double-digit lead in the 68-62 defeat.
"I told all the guys I apologized to them," Stith said.
