Syracuse, N.Y. -- The NCAA is using a new sorting tool this season to determine which at-large teams get into its postseason tournament field and how those teams should be seeded once they make it to March Madness.
It's called the NCAA Evaluation Tool or NET and when the NCAA released the raw data a couple weeks ago, social media erupted in what could kindly be described as outrage.
Loyola Marymount was No. 10, one spot ahead of Kansas. Belmont was No. 12, nine spots ahead of North Carolina.
These are the worst rankings I've ever seen in any sport, ever.
