Syracuse, N.Y. -- Tyus Battle is taking two online classes this summer, but when the Syracuse junior talks about having "the answers to the test,'' he is referring to a summer of intense work on the basketball court.
In early May, about one week before the NBA's pre-draft combine was to start in Chicago, Battle left Syracuse and flew out to Los Angeles to prepare for the combine.
Two weeks later, Battle removed his name from the list of early entries in the NBA draft, but he never stopped what he calls "the process'' of working toward the NBA.
