Syracuse, N.Y. -- Former Syracuse athletic director Daryl Gross earned $846,813 in 2015 -- most of coming after he was moved out of the job.
Gross earned $605,942 in base salary during the year, $125,000 in incentives and other amounts in deferred compensation and benefits.
The totals made him the fourth-highest-compensated employee at Syracuse University, despite a position change March 18 of that year.
The information was included in Syracuse's University federal tax forms released Friday to Syracuse.com. Non-profit organizations must file and make publicly available the forms to keep their tax exemption.
