AUGUSTA, Ga. – After a standout performance against Clemson, Syracuse redshirt senior punter Sterling Hofrichter was named the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week by the Augusta Sports Council on Tuesday, Sept. 17. It's the first time in his career that Hofrichter has earned national punter of the week honors.
A member of this week's "Ray's 8," Hofrichter was selected from a group that also included Penn State's Blake Gillikin, Georgia State's Brandon Wright, Houston's Dane Roy, Pittsburgh's Kirk Cristodoulou, Virginia Tech's Oscar Bradburn, Navy's Owen White and Colorado State's Ryan Stonehouse.
