Mounir Hima, a 6-11 center from Niamey, Niger, has announced his intention to transfer to Syracuse and join the men's basketball program.
Hima spent the last two years at Duquesne. He redshirted as a freshman and then played in 21 contests this past season. He started the final five games of the campaign. Hima averaged 1.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.0 blocked shots per contest.
He produced a career-high nine points at St. Bonaventure and grabbed a collegiate-best 10 rebounds against Davidson.
Hima spent two years at St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, N.J.). In his senior season, Hima averaged 8.
