By Roger Praetorius Syracuse, N.Y. — Last Saturday's victory by my Syracuse University Orange over the Connecticut Huskies was big. No, not in any national sense. But from the perspective that this young SU team, with its new coach and staff and philosophy (on both offense and defense), proved that it can make improvements and put away a comparable opponent. Also, please remember that the 31-24 conquest of UConn was the first road win for the 'Cuse since it beat Wake Forest in Winston-Salem nearly two years ago. Was the Orange dominant?
