2014 Stats: As a redshirt freshman, Avant spent some time sidelined with an upper-body injury. He ultimately appeared in seven games but caught only three passes for a total of 21 yards.
2015 Projections: Avant was listed as the backup to Steve Ishmael on the post-spring depth chart. A number of Syracuse's leading receivers from 2014 are returning, but Avant caught four passes in the spring game and could emerge as one of Hunt's top targets in 2015.
