The Basketball Tournament is back and No. 3 seed Boeheim’s Army is set to take on the No. 11 seed Team Heartfire in tonight’s Peoria Region action.
Outside of Malachi Richardon the former Syracuse Orange basketball stars got off to a sluggish start on Saturday but new additions Tyrese Rice, DeAndre Kane and DJ Kennedy helped the Army rally to knock off Forces of Seoul 65-53.
Heartfire won their first TBT game 78-65. Head Coach Laphonso Ellis’ team was led by Tevin Mack and Jarret-Wilson Fram in that one. Former Pitt Panther center Gary McGehee is another Heartfire player that Orange fans will recognize.
