St. Louis — After double-digit wins in the first two rounds, Syracuse and Gonzaga will meet in the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 at approximately 9:40 p.m. (Eastern) Friday at the United Center in Chicago.
The game will be televised on CBS.
Syracuse, the No. 10 seed in the NCAA's Midwest Region, throttled Dayton 70-51 in the first round on Friday and rolled past No. 15 seed Middle Tennessee State 75-50 on Sunday.
No. 11 Gonzaga beat No. 6 Seton Hall 68-52 in the first round and crushed No. 3 Utah 82-59 in the second round.
The winner of the Syracuse-Gonzaga game will advance to the Elite Eight to face the winner of Virginia-Iowa State.
