Syracuse, N.Y. -- On Feb. 1, a group of soldiers from the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum traveled from their base to the Melo Center to enjoy an afternoon with Syracuse basketball players. It's a "community outreach" program by which soldiers get to mingle with SU players and coaches and then visit the Carrier Dome.
The soldiers have been visiting SU's campus and interacting with Orange players for several years.
The soldiers watched Syracuse practice and got to work up a little sweat themselves.
