Syracuse, N.Y. -- For any kid from the Syracuse area who has ever dribbled a basketball, playing the Carrier Dome represents a dream.
Jordan Roland realized that dream while playing for Westhill High School. As a sophomore and again as a junior, Roland helped Westhill to the Section III Class B championship with wins over Skaneateles and Utica-Notre Dame at the Carrier Dome.
"It's a unique college basketball environment,'' Roland said. "Growing up there and having it be your only Division I experience, it takes a while to understand just how unique it is.''
On Tuesday, Roland will return to the Carrier Dome as the Northeastern Huskies take on the Syracuse Orange in a 7 p.
