Former Syracuse star Hakim Warrick signs with pro team in Israel

Syracuse, N.Y. — Former Syracuse star Hakim Warrick has signed a contract with a pro team in Israel.

Ironi Nahariya, which plays in Israel's Premier Basketball League, announced the signing via Twitter.

Warrick, 35, will finish the season with Ironi Nahariya. He last played for the Puerto Rican pro team Leones de Ponces in 2017.

In 2016, Warrick was with Olympiacos in the Greek professional league and the EuroLeague.

Warrick played at Syracuse from 2002 to 2005. As a sophomore, he was a starter on Syracuse's teams that won the 2003 NCAA championship.
