Syracuse, N.Y. -- The NBA Summer League game between the Charlotte Hornets and the Detroit Pistons in Orlando on Wednesday had a distinct Orange flavor.
Former Syracuse forward Kris Joseph started for Charlotte, while another ex-Orange player Michael Gbinije lined up opposite Joseph as Detroit's starting small forward.
Gbinije scored 11 points in 30 minutes of action in an 87-82 Detroit victory.
It was the fourth start in as many games for Gbinije, who was the Pistons' second-round pick in the 2016 NBA draft. Gbinije went 3-for-7 from the field, while hitting one of his three attempts from 3-point range.
