Former Syracuse men’s soccer star Ryan Raposo drafted 4th overall in 2020 MLS SuperDraft

The Syracuse Orange men’s soccer team has done it again. With the fourth overall pick in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft, winger Ryan Raposo was selected by Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

This marks the sixth consecutive season that an Orange player has been taken in the first round, and the fifth player taken in the Top 10 in that same span. Raposo had previously signed a Generation Adidas contract with MLS, making him the Orange’s sixth program alum to sign on with the MLS. (Also an NCAA Record)

Raposo was one of the leading scorers across all of college soccer in 2019, netting 15 goals which ranked 11th overall.
