Former Syracuse basketball forward Tyler Lydon has been assigned to the G-League, the Denver Nuggets announced earlier today.
Lydon, a 6-foot-9 stretch forward, was selected 24th overall by the Utah Jazz in the 2017 NBA Draft, but his rights were traded to Denver shortly thereafter.
Lydon first jumped onto the scene his freshman year at Syracuse with an impressive showing at the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas. Lydon had big games against Connecticut and Texas A&M, both of whom were ranked, which led the Orange to the 2016 Battle 4 Atlantis Championship.
Lydon played big for the Orange down the stretch, and had a game-securing block against Gonzaga on SU's way to a Final Four berth.
