Syracuse, N.Y. -- Former Syracuse football quarterback commit Lindsey Scott is transferring from LSU, he announced on Monday.
The 5-foot-11, 210-pound Scott was once one of the more intriguing players in the Orange's Class of 2016. Rated three stars and the No. 26 dual-threat quarterback in his cycle by 247Sports.com's composite rankings, the Zachary (La.) High School standout pledged to SU in October 2016.
Before he was the Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year, Scott blindly sent his highlights and information to former Syracuse offensive coordinator Tim Lester via email. The Orange ultimately recruited him, but after ex-head coach Scott Shafer and his staff were fired in late November, Scott's recruitment began to shift.
